What would you do for an adventure?
Imagine driving 1/3 of the way around the earth through some of the toughest terrain on the planet. The Mongol Rally is an unsupported road rally from London, England to Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia.
In July, 2011 four well-traveled, and some may say crazy travel bloggers are setting out on a 10,000 mile journey to Mongoliea. This is no fluff press trip…this is us against the open road, in a car that is not meant to be driven to lengths which we intend to drive it.

Crossing 10,000 miles over unforgiving deserts, perilous mountain ranges and non-existent roads, we four intrepid travelers will face the possiblity of bandits, breakdowns and corruption while navigating our way through 15 countries and 2 continents.
The world’s biggest road rally brings together hundreds of teams and thousands of people from around the world for this extreme adventure through Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, Russia and finally Mongolia.
All For a Cause
The Mongol Rally isn’t just for us crazy travelers trying to top their latest adventure. During the course of our journey, we will raise money for the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation, a charity helps homeless and abandoned children of Mongolia.
Not only that, we will donate our automobile to Adventures for Development at the end of the rally. They will then decide where it will best be utilized in the country.

Have you seen Long Way Round with Ewan MacGregor and Charlie Borman? If not, it;s a must for you guys! It’s awesome! And seems partially a similar route.
Totally saw the Long Way Round and Long Way Down. Dave and Deb cycled the same journey as them through Africa on the Long Way Down Cairo to Cape Town, now we are following in their footsteps with our own little part way round
Looks exciting!
Good luck
We’re hoping to enter the rally in 2012 ourselves
Fantastic Tobbe. Looking forward to reading about all your adventures in 2012

Thanks Rachelle, We can’t wait to write, tweet, photograph, video all of the above!

I see you’re going through Brussels. You have to look up Bart and let him take care of you for a night! Early in the trip but you might want to start out with some good Belgian beer for luck.
Kim – yes we def. need a Belgium beer to kick off this adventure! Except for the poor driver…:)
I think we’ll be heading through Belgium the first day…and would love to stop for a quick meet up with old friends! Plus- I may actually be in the area the weeks prior to our launch – so will def. get in touch with Bart!
WOW! Sounds Amazing! Do you have room for a Canadian in your car? I can fit in the trunk :p
Sounds awesome! Can I come in your luggage??
